Department of Veterans Affairs has partnered with a number of organisations that are there to help.


These services are free for current and ex-serving veterans and their families.

Open Arms counsellors and staff understand veteran and military culture. They provide the specialised support and care you need.

The All-hours Support Line (ASL) is a confidential telephone service for ADF members and their families that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.


Confidential information, counselling and support service. Open 24 hours to support people impacted by sexual assault, domestic/family violence and abuse.

MensLine Australia is a telephone and online counselling service for men with family and relationship concerns. They are here to help anytime.

Kids Helpline are a free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25.

Suicide Call Back Service provides professional 24/7 telephone and online counselling to people who are affected by suicide.


Lifeline is a national charity providing Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services.
